General Description

The Production Supervisor oversees operations of production in the Bargain Center. The key duty of the Production Supervisor is to support all positions related to store production. This position monitors and assists every job function related to production and related activities of the store to ensure a steady flow of merchandise in and out of the building. The Production Supervisor leads staff, residents, volunteers and others by example and guides and encourages them to excel in their departments.

Work requirements and Core responsibilities

Work Requirements-Production Supervisor

  • Work as a team orientated leader to effectively process items through the production areas and ensure a steady flow of merchandise to the retail floor
  • Know how to work with co-workers to get the needed tasks done in a timely manner
  • Have excellent communication skills: be able to lead daily devotions, prayer, team meetings, etc.
  • Maintain a positive Christian attitude and good character
  • Have the ability to lift with assistance over 50 lbs
  • Be certified through HGM to operate a forklift
  • Have the knowledge of all types of product coming through the production areas
  • Be knowledgeable with pricing of all items within the store pricing guide and continually updating it as needed

General Job Description

The driver is responsible for daily operations related to the pick up and delivery of items coming to and leaving Building Hope. Additionally the driver provides daily support to the Production Lead and Assistant Manager by helping with the shipping and receiving duties. Safe driving habits and safe material handling are a must.

 

Work Requirements

Good customer service skills

A clean driving record

Ability to lift over 50 lbs with assistance

Self-motivated

Knowledge of how to use shipping restraints and shipping related equipment

Knowledge of how to operate a GPS unit

Core Responsibilities

Provide safe and timely pick up and delivery services for the store

Communicate with the donor or customer to keep the arranged schedule running smoothly throughout the business day

Follow given safety rules and well as traffic laws

Support for the Production Lead

Daily assist the Production Lead to keep the flow of merchandise flowing smoothly as it comes in from donors

Support for the Assistant Manager

Assist with shipping arrangements when delivery is needed

We are currently seeking an Overnight Supervisor who maintains a safe home environment and provide hospitality to residents in their home.

  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills

Summary of Responsibility – Illustrative, not all inclusive:

  • Properly prepare new resident for schedule, arrange for introductions, hand-offs and provide an orientation.  Upon exit of a resident, successfully end visit and complete check out process.
  • Provide medications for residents in compliance with medication policy.
  • Ensure intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing community atmosphere is maintained and followed during shift, as well as ensuring mission policies and procedures are being followed.  Make necessary adjustments as needed to maintain this environment.
  • Keep home safe by maintaining a secure entry, conducting searches, breathalyzer assessments, and random searches.
  • Responsibility for any decisions, planning, and activities scheduling during shift.  Generally managing any issues that come up during shift. 
  • Backup for resident adviser position when needed.
  • Provide valuable feedback to the case management team from your perspective.  Document observations and offer feedback to appropriate staff as needed to facilitate constructive and forward moving case management.
  • Paperwork and data entry as necessary to support resident advisers, intake managers, and residential operations manager.
  • Various overnight chores that need to be completed daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Rotating shift, 10:30 PM to approximately 8:30 AM

  • Provide medications for residents in compliance with medication policy.
  • Ensure intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing community atmosphere is maintained and followed during shift, as well as ensuring mission policies and procedures are being followed.  Make necessary adjustments as needed to maintain this environment.

  • Rotating shift, 4:30 PM to approximately 10:30 PM and rotating weekend days.

Full-time Renewal Counselor

Position Objective: 

Assess residents with bio, psych, social interview and other assessment tools, create renewal plan, and provide guidance to complete renewal plans. 

  

Experience, Education, Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in case management preferred 

  • Previous leadership in a ministry setting preferred 

  • Associate’s degree or higher in related field preferred 

  • Experience with addiction counseling preferred

  • Assess each resident in the areas of academics, addictions, finance, health/nutrition/fitness, mental health, life skills, and vocational skills to determine needs and desires. 

  • Create a 7-dimension renewal plan to address each residents needs in these areas. (The 7 dimensions are academic, addiction, financial, life skills, mental health, nutrition/fitness, and vocational.  Spiritual is covered by the chaplaincy.) 

  • Assist resident in review, goal setting, and achieving objectives and goals in renewal plan  

  • Meet regularly to assess progress and make adjustments as necessary. 

  • Communicate often with program staff and others as necessary to assist resident in programmatic unity throughout the different facets of their program experience. 

  • Participate in development of programming. 

  • Ensure intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing community atmosphere is maintained and followed.  Make necessary adjustments as needed to maintain this environment. 

  • Provide valuable feedback to the case management team from your perspective.  Document observations and interactions and offer feedback to appropriate staff as needed to facilitate constructive and forward moving case management. 

  • Lead small groups or classes as assigned.
