Warm weather has finally arrived, and many of us are getting ready to take a break and enjoy summer’s best activities... barbecues, fishing, weekend getaways, and baseball, just to name a few. But at Hope Gospel Mission, our work continues because homelessness does not take a summer vacation.
Though the summer sun is a welcome respite from winter’s life-threatening temperatures, the number of hurting men and women who turn to us for help continues to rise. In fact, this summer, we will:
- Provide basic care, vital spiritual guidance, counseling, and job training to the many men and women in the Renewed Hope Program at a cost of $75 a day per person.
- Offer shelter, clothing, and food to many precious men and women in crisis through our Short Stay Program.
- Serve nearly 7,300 meals to the dear friends staying at Ruth House for women and the House of Hope for men.
Unfortunately, even though the need remains strong, giving always drops during the summer months. Will you join the Mission’s Summer Challenge, and make sure that we’re able to keep up with demand for Christ-centered, compassionate care?
Simply give online now, and help provide life-changing support to those struggling with addiction, poverty, or eviction.
