Do you have what it takes to join a team of committed individuals to fight hunger and homelessness? We encourage you to find out. We have many different opportunitites to get involved, which can all be found below. Together, we can change lives.

Feel free to print off and distribute the Volunteer Challenge Brochure, which gives information about volunteering at Hope Gospel Mission and invites everyone to get involved. Upcoming Volunteer Orientations

Please contact us to volunteer by sending us a comment.  During Volunteer Orientations, Volunteers will:

  • Learn about the history and vision of HGM
  • Be introduced to other volunteers from the organization
  • Receive a guided tour of the facilitites and become more acquainted with HGM's shelters
  • Learn more about volunteer procedures at HGM and receive a Volunteer Handbook

And as always, volunteers are encouraged to create their own experiences. Perhaps you have a great idea that would benefit the men and women we serve. We would love to discuss it with you.

  • Stewardship Department Office Volunteer (Graphics Designer for Newsletter and other projects)


Stewardship Department Office Volunteer

Volunteer needed to help the Stewardship Department with a few current projects. Specifically, we are looking for individuals with graphic design skills, writing skills, administrative skills or computer skills to help complete a few important projects the department is currently managing. Front Office Volunteer at Men's Shelter

Volunteer needed to help us in our front office at the Men's Shelter. Volunteers in this position would be responsible for greeting guests and residents, answering phones, and helping with general office tasks. Different days are available; however we are looking for volunteers to fill this position from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Great opportunity for those looking to get involved! Back to Top


Bargain Center Greeters

Bargain Center Greeters are needed to welcome customers and guests to the Bargain Center. This position is important because the Store Greeter is the first contact a customer has with Hope Gospel Mission as they enter the store. The greeter would be responsibile for answering basic questions about the Bargain Center as well as Hope Gospel Mission. Back to Top


Meal Preparers

Meal Preparers are needed to cook and serve nourishing meals.  Volunteers have the opportunity to provide an important, much needed meal to the poor and homeless, as well as friendship and hope for the future. Back to Top


Shuttle Drivers

Shuttle Drivers are needed to offer our residents a chance to build productive, meaningful, lives, as well as earn money for the future, by transporting our residents to and from their jobs. We provide the vehicle and gas; we ask our volunteers to offer our residents their time, as well as hope for the future. Shuttle Drivers must be at least 25 years old for this specific opportunity. General Donation Processors

General Donation Processors are needed to generate much needed revenue for our program and for our residents by sorting donations at the Bargain Center. By volunteering at the Bargain Center, volunteers give Hope Gospel Mission the opportunity to serve our residents using the funds created from the merchandise sold. Back to Top


Volunteer Team Leaders 

Volunteer Team Leaders are needed to help run a successful volunteer program. A Volunteer Team Leader works closely with the Volunteer Coordinator and helps manage an efficient and important volunteer program. Duties can include planning special events for the volunteer program, recognizing volunteers throughout the organization, and working on different projects for the volunteer program. Back to Top


Special Event Planners

Special Event Planners are needed to help touch the lives of our residents, volunteers, and the general public through planning and coordinating different events throughout our program. Back to Top


Grant Researcher

A Grant Researcher is needed to provide our residents and our program with required grants by using critical researching skills to find acceptable grants for Hope Gospel Mission to apply for. A Grant Researcher is a pivotal piece of our program and offers Hope Gospel Mission much needed funding in order to serve our residents. Back to Top


Create Your Own Volunteer Experience!

As always, volunteers are welcome to create their own volunteer experience by using their personal talents and gifts to serve the residents of Hope Gospel Mission. Email our volunteer coordiator at volunteer@hopegospelmission.org to get started!


Attention Groups!

HGM works with groups as well! We can work with teams as small as two people and as large as...well as large your group might be. All you need to do is download the group application, fill it out, and mail or fax it to our offices. We'll contact you in a few days and get your group scheduled.

Note to Potential Volunteers

At HGM, we take our volunteers very seriously, and we expect them to take their volunteering experience just as seriously. Our residents and our programs depend on our volunteers; therefore it is important that all volunteers are committed to our organization. Depending upon your skills, interests, and the amount of available time you have to give, HGM offers various ways for the individuals and groups to help change the lives of the poor and homeless. We are flexible and will work with you to make your volunteer experience what you want it to be.
